35 hours per week - term time only (8.15 am – 3.45 pm

Grade 7, Scale 15 – 22 (£21,257 – £24,182 per annum)

We are looking to appoint a permanent cover supervisor to join our highly professional and dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a firm commitment to upholding the ethos and values of our school; have a professional approach, high expectations and a determination to succeed.

This post may be suitable for someone who wishes to pursue a career in teaching and wishes to gain further experience in the workplace, or someone who enjoys enabling students to learn and wants to play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning in a school. The successful candidates will have a wide range of knowledge about the subjects they are covering, and an interest in sharing that passion and enthusiasm with the students.

 

The right candidate will have the drive and ambition to demonstrate excellent practice within the classroom across the academy. They will put young people first and have the highest expectations of themselves, the pupils and others. Great interpersonal skills are key to effective classroom management as well as the ability to develop relationships with staff and pupils within the academy. They will be expected to supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises, when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The main role is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set and be expected to undertake a lunch time duty.
