Fairfax Academy are looking to appoint the following permanent position to start as soon as possible:
Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: SC6, FTE £26,446 - £27,514 actual salary £20,314.97 - £21,135.67
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only Monday – Friday 8:10am-3:10pm
The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher, implement work programmes and manage pupil behaviours and assist pupils in relevant activities.
The post holder will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff to secure good outcomes for all students. In addition, the post holder will actively promote the academy’s values and assist teaching staff in narrowing the gap between disadvantaged and other children. The post would suit a graduate/someone looking to gain experience to pursue a teaching career. Permanent position to start as soon as possible.
Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to multi task. Experience of a similar role would be preferable.
Applicants must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills. A grade C or above in English and Maths is essential.
