COVER SUPERVISOR

Required from September 2022

ALT GRADE E: £19,895 - £20,903 (pro rata – depending on experience)

HOURS: 32.5 hours per week

WEEKS: Term time plus 5 training days


The College is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor.  The postholder will provide classroom supervision when teachers are absent.

The post would suit an individual with experience of working with young people, although full training and support will be provided.

In line with our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students, appointment will be subject to DBS check and satisfactory references.

Cromwell Community College is a co-educational secondary school located in the market town of Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. It educates around 1,100 pupils aged 11-18. The school became a comprehensive in 1969 and converted to academy status in 2012. 

Over the years, Cromwell Community College has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation, with the most recent project completed in 2012. The school has its own sixth form, with dedicated facilities and study areas for post-16 students.

The secondary school works hard to provide for students with special educational needs, of whom there are an above-average number. 

Ofsted report

Pupils enjoy a wide choice of subjects suited to their abilities and interests. The most able pupils are steered towards three sciences, humanities and foreign languages to enable more of them to gain the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) qualification. A small proportion of less-able pupils follow a curriculum matched to their needs and abilities in order to develop their literacy and numeracy, promote their social skills and study qualifications suited to the workplace.”
