32.50 hours per week 

Term time only

Salary range £19,171 to £21,166 (pro rata)

We require a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor as soon as possible to join this Outstanding (OfSTED April 2011), lively and successful 11-18 Secondary School. 

The successful Cover Supervisor will be required to supervise whole classes of students and ensure that the set work is completed in the absence of the teacher. Cover is provided for the short-term absence of teaching staff so that an effective and tailored school policy to cover is delivered.

A desire to make a positive contribution to the life of the School and an enjoyment of working with students are essential.  A good level of education is required, with numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE or equivalent (A*-C).

Bishop Heber High School is a mixed, non-denominational comprehensive school with a sixth form, there are 1280 students on roll aged 11-18. It is situated in the picturesque village of Malpas. The school has an enviable reputation for excellence both within its catchment area and far beyond. The school was founded in 1960.

Location

Malpas is a large village placed deep in the south Cheshire countryside. There are several pubs in the village as well as good quality local shopping. Malpas also hosts a regular Farmers’ Market. If you are looking to explore, Malpas is a great base for sightseeing with Cheshire, Shropshire and North Wales just a stone’s throw away. Practically on your doorstep is the famous city of Chester, you can reach the city in 30 minutes and explore all the historic sites.
