Job overview

  The Governors wish to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor 

· to provide cover supervision in the event of the short term absence of teaching staff

· to provide in-class support for other learning activities

· to complete administration work that will be required within the school from time to time.

The position is temporary to cover maternity leave and will end in January 2019, unless the current post holder returns sooner. The hours are 32.5 hours per week and the position is term time only plus teacher training days.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of either supervising classes or working as a teaching assistant in a secondary school.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Bishop Ullathorne Catholic School is a member of the Holy Cross Multi Academy Company  along with Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School and Christ the King, St Augustine’s, St Thomas More, St Elizabeth’s and St John Vianney Catholic Primary Schools, which are all located in Coventry

The information from the checks enables you to pinpoint effective practice and where further improvements are needed. There is a well-thought-out programme of training and support for teachers that focuses on individual and whole-school priorities.
