Do you have the ambition and determination to secure positive outcomes for our students? We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our academy to work with classes of students under the direction of the teacher, and to supervise classes in the short term absence of a teacher. You will have experience of working in a learning environment with school age students (11-16) and have the opportunity to enhance your qualifications. Armthorpe Academy is a thriving and welcoming academy which is firmly committed to the principle other people matter. Our expectations of students are very high, both in terms of their progress and their behaviour. In particular, we expect them to invest in their own learning, and we encourage them to enjoy and make a positive contribution to the wider life of the school. They, in turn, can expect from us the highest possible quality of teaching, care and support.
You will be given full support within your role, benefitting from our strong CPD programme, as well as the opportunity to work with other local partner schools to develop and enhance your practice.
In summer 2018 we achieved our best ever results and are now looking to further develop our team to ensure our improvements are sustained. In January 2019 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘Good’ in every category which is testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff and students.
