Queensmead is an oversubscribed 11-18 mixed academy school where students achieve highly and ‘behaviour around the school is excellent’ (Ofsted).  

Cover Supervisors are responsible for providing instructions and ensuring the work set by the class teacher is worked on by students, answering students' general questions and reporting back to the teacher on a range of issues. Our successful candidate will enjoy working with secondary-aged students, be patient and empathetic, and be confident in leading a full class. Please note that Cover Supervisors do not have any responsibility for planning lessons themselves, or any form of assessment of students' progress or development. Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8.20am to 3pm, with 30 minutes lunch break.

Queensmead School is based in South Ruislip, Middlesex, and is a ‘Good’, oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive school where students achieve very highly and display ‘excellent behaviour’ (Ofsted).  It currently has around 1,450 students.

Values and Vision

Queensmead School strives to maintain a learning environment where students can reach their maximum potential, wherever their skills may lie. Technology is a key part of the education environment, with devices such as visualisers, iPads and Chromebooks a regular classroom feature. There is also a strong emphasis on attendance and punctuality, with these qualities seen as essential to the learning process and academic endeavour.

Queensmead offers students the chance to participate in activities such as music tuition and sports, with facilities including basketball courts, a fitness zone and access to five-a-side football pitches. International experiences offered to secondary students include language development in France, Germany and Spain, trekking excursions in Morocco, and skiing in Italy and Austria.
