Values and vision

Our vision for Tubbenden Primary is of a vibrant, happy and inclusive community school where every child is able to thrive - to become confident with a love of learning.’

Our school promotes an agreed set of values. These values underpin all that we do and incorporate traditional British values. We aim that by the time they leave Tubbenden all children will have a firm understanding that their own actions have an impact of on themselves, each other, the world around them and the community, and that their impact will be positive. To support this aim we have developed our ‘knighting’ system. All children who come to Tubbenden automatically become Squires (trainee knights). They strive to become Knights of Tubbenden, living up to the school values.

Tubbenden Primary School aims for all children, by the time they leave, to understand that their actions have an impact on themselves, other people and the world around them. To support this aim, the school has developed a "knighting" system.

The primary aspires to attract the best staff, to be ecologically friendly, and to be highly regarded within the local community. The curriculum is effectively supported by ICT and is driven by creativity, wider learning and building successful learning behaviours which will last a lifetime.

Tubbenden Primary School wishes to promote a love of learning among its students and prides itself on having a supportive but challenging governing body.

Ofsted report

“Teaching and learning across the school are good. Teachers know the pupils well and have very secure working relationships with them so that they are keen to do their very best. Pupils feel safe in school and say that adults take good care of them. Behaviour is often very good in class and throughout the school where there is a vibrant climate for learning. The governing body and the school’s senior leaders have a good understanding of the school’s strengths and areas for development.”
