We are looking to appoint a part time Cover Supervisor for two days (13 hours) per week, to start as soon as possible.

The post holder will supervise students who are without their normal class teacher and is not expected to teach. Previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage, as would basic IT skills.

This role would also be an ideal position for someone wishing to gain classroom experience. You will need to have a calm, confident and helpful manner as well as a good sense of humour. Good communication skills are required when dealing with students, parents and staff. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work and be a motivated team player. You will be required to cover PE lessons, so would need to be equipped to carry out this role.

This is an exciting time to join the school and be part of a hard-working and dedicated team of staff who are determined to give our students the skills, confidence and knowledge necessary to thrive in the future.

Hollyfield is a beautiful school located in the Surbiton area of Surrey, it has good transport links to central London enabling our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that the city offers. We are an ambitious school that puts student achievement and wellbeing at its heart.

We are also part of the Every Child, Every Day Multi Academy Trust and in March 2020 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘good. ’ The school community is always striving to improve and are working hard to continue to develop our high standards.

For further details about the school visit our website. Please note we cannot accept CVs.

We would encourage early applications as we reserve the right to appoint before the closing date, should a suitable candidate be found.

The Governing and Trust Bodies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young persons and expect all staff to share this commitment. The Headteacher must ensure that the highest priority is given to following the guidance and regulations to safeguard children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure from the DBS in line with the 1974 Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. The schools within the Trust are committed to all aspects of personal development, are inclusive and seek to ensure every student achieves to the best of their ability. As part of our safer recruitment we will require two references.
