Accountable to: Head Teacher   

We are seeking to appoint a motivated and flexible graduate, with an interest in becoming a fully qualified teacher in the future and gaining classroom experience.  The position involves covering lessons for absent staff and is an excellent way to gain classroom experience prior to training.  The role will involve managing student behaviour, dealing with issues according to school policies and procedures, keeping and updating records as agreed with class teachers and supervision of students on school trips.  

In order to be considered for this vacancy at least 50% of your degree will need to relate to a subject taught at secondary school.

Burnley High School was founded in 2014 in Burnley, Lancashire. It is a mainstream  school for mixed pupils aged 11-16.  Burnley High School is part of the Education Partnership Trust.
