Parkwood E-ACT Academy, awarded a ‘good’ from Ofsted in 2014, is a highly respected and supportive specialist language and sports academy based in the north of Sheffield, easily accessible from the M1/ A1 motorway network.  We moved into our state of the art building over Easter 2012: as well as serving a practical purpose, the new buildings and facilities at Parkwood  E-ACT Academy have been designed to inspire the pupils and staff who use them.   We are seeking to appoint someone who is energetic and competent to take on the role of cover supervisor.    The role involves the supervision of whole classes under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, including implementation of work programmes, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities.    Applicants will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, a confident, reliable and professional manner, very good literacy and numeracy skills, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications or experience and have the ability and desire to work with young people.    An initial training programme will be given to enable you to carry out your duties effectively.  The Academy is a “high energy” and rewarding place to work and staff working here can see the positive impact they make on young people.
