CONTRACT: Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2018 due to funding
WORKING PATTERN: 35 Hours per Week (8.00am – 3.30pm), term time only plus 5 days
SALARY: Grade 5 Points £20,661 – £23,398 pro-rata (£17,711 – £20,058 actual)
START DATE: 1st September 2017

You will be located in Didsbury, (often voted as one of the most popular places to live in Manchester) only a short walk from the vibrant shops, bars and restaurants of Didsbury village. You will also have access to excellent transport links to Manchester city centre and surrounding areas.
You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher, deliver pre-planned and set work, ensuring an understanding of the tasks which have been set. You will also need to manage student’s behaviour at all times in accordance with the school behaviour policy, to ensure that students are on task and working to the best of their ability, deal with any immediate problems according to school procedures, take the register and provide written feedback to the class teacher
• Have previous experience of working with young people in a teaching and learning environment:
• Have experience of managing behavior and leading groups:
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate at all levels.
• Have excellent organizational skills
• Have good IT skills
• Play an active role within the school and the wider community;
• Be pro-active with the ability to act on your own initiative.
