Actual salary: £20,464 - £22,419 per annum (FTE: £24,212 - £26,525)

37 hours per week – 9 month contract to cover maternity leave, term time only

Required to start as soon as possible

We are looking to appoint Cover Supervisors who will oversee classes during short-term absence of teaching staff. Full support and training will be provided and all learning materials and resources will be provided by specialist staff in all lessons. The academy has very simple and highly effective behaviour systems and you will be supported in your work by Faculty leaders and members of the leadership team on a daily lesson by lesson basis. 

You will need to be flexible, have a desire to work with young people and a calm and authoritative manner. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is considering a career in teaching or for someone qualified but seeking further school experience.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in working with young people
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including children, young people, colleagues, parents/carers, Governors and members of the public.
  • Demonstrate the positive values, attitudes and behaviour they expect from children and young people.
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic
  • Ability to be adaptable to the changing needs and requirements of the post
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure in a methodical and thorough manner and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to be an active member of the school community supporting extra-curricular and charitable events.
  • Literacy & Numeracy at Level 2
