The Cherwell School is a high performing and oversubscribed comprehensive school in Oxford, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.  The school has approximately 1990 students on roll, including 620 in the Sixth Form.

We are looking to recruit two permanent cover supervisors to join our friendly cover supervisor team, working to provide cover during periods of staff absence.  The cover supervisors will also provide support for specific subject departments and contribute to the extra-curricular opportunities available for our students (dependent on the interests of the appointed candidate).  We currently have two vacancies to start in September 2019.  One of which is linked to our PE faculty so an interest in PE will be a significant advantage for this position.  The other role is generic so an interest in any academic subject(s) will be encouraged.  Candidates should be enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with young people and have the ability to work well in a team.  This is an excellent opportunity; especially for candidates considering a teaching career, as many of our previous cover supervisors have gone on to complete their teacher training.  Should you wish to be part of our future we welcome your application.

Feel free to contact Mary Maguire, HR Assistant, on 01865 558719 for an informal discussion about the role.

The closing date for applications is Tuesday 25th June 2019 at 9.00am
