Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor.

 

The role

 Under the guidance of the Principal you will be part of the team responsible for delivering cover for absent teachers.

  •  Provide cover supervision in a variety of lessons on a daily basis with work that has been set by the teacher
  • Support in the delivery of high-quality learning experiences for all students and maintain an orderly classroom environment
  • Ensure that students are aware of learning objectives at the start of the lesson
  • Have high expectations of learning & behaviour at all times, in and out of lessons
  • Seek to make learning a positive experience for all students


About You:

  •  You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly organised and a skilled influencer
  • Be flexible and have excellent proven team working skills
  • Be committed to your own CPD
  • Have excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office
  • Experience of a schools Management Information System would be a distinct advantage
  • Have the confidence to fully engage in being part of the school team that’s makes a difference to our student outcomes and a willingness to contribute to school life outside the classroom
  • Have excellent numeracy and literacy skills (see person specification)


Term time only / 34 hours per week
