We are looking to employ a Cover Supervisor to join our team to support high standards of teaching and learning in the situation where a class teacher is not available.
This is a demanding role that requires an individual with an engaging personality, confidence and a desire to make a difference to the students. The successful candidate will have good numeracy and literacy skills, be confident with IT to support lessons and be able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team. The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively is essential.
Previous experience in this role or with working with students of this age would be desirable however we will provide initial training and continued CPD for the successful candidate. This role would suit an individual looking to further their careers in Education. Applications are welcome from qualified teachers.
This role is for a fixed term basis until the 31st August 2018 in the first instance.
Working hours : up to 32.5 hours per week term time only plus INSET days.

Holyrood Academy is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary with sixth form in Chard, Somerset. As of the most recent inspection there were 1,229 students on the school roll, of which 146 were studying in the sixth form. The town of Chard has a population of 13,000, and is 15 miles southwest of Yeovil on the A30 road. Holyrood has a reputation for district success in sports, particularly in Rugby and Football.
