Cover Supervisor

Sexey's SchoolSomerset

Part-time and Casual/Bank

We have an unrelenting commitment to be exceptional in all that we do

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, responsible and reliable individuals to join our bank of Cover Supervisors that we can call on as and when required.  In addition, we have a permanent part-time post working two days per week. Duties will include the supervision of whole classes during teaching staff absence and supervising the work of students in the Reflection Room.  The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and time management skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with young people.  Previous experience of working in a school setting (especially previous Cover Supervisor experience) would be an advantage.

Our students are a delight to work with: they are articulate, hardworking, well-motivated and display our 7 core values in the way that they treat each other. We pride ourselves on our positive staff/student relationships.  Sexey’s School has a strong team of staff who are caring, supportive and working with a ‘determination to be exceptional in all that we do’.

In return, we offer excellent CPD opportunities, a supportive staff body and the opportunity to work in a high performing State Boarding School.  We also offer a shorter academic year (36 weeks).

Completed application forms should be e-mailed to

Closing Date: 3rd March 2021

Sexey’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. In support of this, the post requires a criminal background check via the disclosure procedure. The successful applicant will therefore be subject to an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check, references and other checks.
