We seek a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic colleague to join our experienced and committed support staff team.
The Role
This role provides supervision to classes during the absence of the assigned teacher. Working in a classroom environment with students at Key Stage 3 & 4 you will provide instruction to students about the work set by the teacher, assisting students to stay on task, and complete the work set to the best of their ability.
This is a varied role that works across all faculties and could include using PowerPoint, showing video clips, leading a class discussion, organise group work or supervising PE or Drama activities.
You will learn about the various school policies, including the school’s behaviour policy and learning and teaching policy and how these are applied in a classroom setting.

Monday to Friday 30.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus inset days) Part time Applications considered
Salary: £23,045 to £25,444 per annum, actual salary range is £16,796 to £18,545
The Candidate
You will be a confident, resourceful and creative individual with a passion for supporting young people. Ideally you will have have proven, recent and relevant experience with the ability to demonstrate good communication, organisational and behaviour management skills for a classroom setting.

This is an ideal role for a graduate who is looking to gain experience working in a school prior to taking up teacher training

About Collingwood College
Based in Surrey, Collingwood College was created in 1971 to educate children between the ages of 11 and 18. It is a secondary, coeducational, academy converted school. It currently has around 1,797 students enrolled at the establishment. The Camberley town school gained the Grant Maintained status in 1991. In 1994, the school became a Self-Governing Technology College. It is a non-denominational school. When the academy was created it was through an amalgamation of Bagshot County Secondary School, Barossa County Secondary School and Frimley and Camberley Grammar School.

"The school is very well led and is on a journey of continuous improvement. Parents express high levels of confidence in the school. Staff are overwhelmingly positive about leaders’ concern for their workload and well-being. Staff say that leaders act quickly on any concerns that they raise.
Pupils receive a good all-round education here. Although the school is large, pupils feel that they are valued as individuals.
The curriculum is ambitious for all pupils. Pupils study a broad range of academic and vocational subjects. They are well prepared for their future. More pupils are choosing to study modern foreign languages in key stage 4 because the curriculum has improved. High numbers of pupils continue to study technology subjects in key stage 4 and beyond.
