Do you want to make an impact in a school that is moving forward with exciting times ahead? The Wilnecote School is part of the Community Academies Trust, a local school-based Trust with an excellent reputation and two recently selected National Teaching Schools at its heart.


We are looking to appoint a keen and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of cover supervisor.


You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, during the short-term absence of the assigned teacher, deliver pre-planned and set work, ensuring an understanding of the tasks which have been set. You will also need to manage student’s behaviour at all times in accordance with the school behaviour policy, to ensure that students are on task and working to the best of their ability, deal with any immediate problems according to school procedures, take the register and provide written feedback to the class teacher  


Good levels of literacy and numeracy are essential, with evidence of grade A*-C in Maths and English at GCSE level, together with good communication skills. You will be a flexible and hardworking person who enjoys a varied role and have previous experience of working in a school environment. The ability to use I.C.T. as a learning tool would be an advantage however training will be given. 


You will join a supportive environment where professional development is enhanced through the local National Teaching School. The post offers scope for personal development.
