We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our friendly high achieving team. The school has an excellent reputation, achieves highly in terms of attainment and progress and is oversubscribed. It was rated “Good” overall with “Outstanding” in the Personal Development category in September 2022.

This is an exciting opportunity for an efficient and organised person to join us as a cover supervisor, in supporting the smooth operation of the school through delivering planned lessons.

Responsibilities include delivering lessons based on pre-prepared work to full class groups, managing the classroom environment to promote good behaviour for learning, and liaising with teaching colleagues on their return to promote good continuity for students. 

Adaptability, resilience and the ability to think on your feet are essential in this varied and evolving role, as will an ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Strong ICT skills and a good command of English and Math are necessities.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience for those seeking a career in teaching as well as for experienced cover supervisors looking for a new challenge. Possible wraparound care hours available for the right candidate.

We’re proud of our school history and its unique status as an Ecumenical Middle School that’s supported by the Dioceses of Portsmouth and Oxford. In 2005 we celebrated 300 years of the Royal Free Trust where it all began at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Although the school aims to follow Christian values, we celebrate the traditions and beliefs of all faiths – and learn the importance of helping and respecting others.

Our attractive site in the lovely historic town of Windsor includes purpose-built specialist teaching spaces for a range of different curriculum subjects. Our music suite, computing area and performance space have all been recently completed, and our sports hall and science laboratories are modern and well-equipped.

Pupils’positive contributions to wider school life are encouraged and celebrated equally, alongside their academic successes. Pupils enjoy a wide range of interesting activities to nurture their talents and support their personal development. These include participating in sports clubs, charity events and in-school competitions. The ‘Key Stage 3 Pledge’, for example, recognises and celebrates pupils’positive actions within the school and local community. Pupils demonstrate a strong understanding of the school values. Staff have high expectations for all pupils and provide a plethora of opportunities for them to embody each value. Pupils are proud to belong to the school and feel well prepared for their next stage of education. Bullying is very rare because pupils treat each other with kindness and respect.
