Maintain a productive and respectful classroom environment in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
Assist students with their work, answering questions and encouraging independent learning.
Collect completed work at the end of lessons and report back to class teachers on lesson progress, attendance, and student behaviour.
Take class registers accurately and promptly at the start of each session.
Act as a positive role model, promoting the school’s core values and high expectations.
Provide supervision in non-classroom settings when required (e.g., break/lunch duty, registration, or exam invigilation).
What We Are Looking For - Cover Supervisor
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications: Strong standards of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics, or equivalent).
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to give clear instructions and engage positively with young people.
Classroom / Group Management: Confidence in managing student behavior, maintaining order, and enforcing expectations calmly and firmly.
Adaptability: Flexibility and resilience to move between different subjects, year groups, and classroom settings throughout the day.

Prior experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, or coaching capacity.
Knowledge of school Management Information Systems (MIS) such as Arbor.
Aspiring teachers seeking experience before applying for teacher training programs.

Welcome to Impact North West Schools, where we believe that education should fit the child, not the other way around.
Every young person who walks through our doors has a unique way of learning, and our mission is simple: to provide a safe, nurturing environment where students who may have struggled in mainstream education can find their footing, rebuild their confidence, and thrive.
We guide everything we do by three core values: being Ready, Respectful, and Safe.
This isn’t just text on a page; it is the heartbeat of our school. Whether a student is working towards academic GCSE success, developing critical life skills, or preparing for a confident reintegration back into a mainstream setting, we measure success by their personal growth and unique achievements.
Our recent expansion into the entirety of Tower House reflects the immense trust our families place in us. With bespoke spaces like our dedicated Year 11 Wing - designed to foster independence and ownership - specialised exam rooms that reduce anxiety, and ‘The Engine Room’ (our state-of-the-art Occupational Therapy and multisensory suite), we ensure our young people have exactly what they need to regulate, focus, and feel valued.
We are proud to hold the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Schools Award (ATSSA) Silver status, which validates the sophisticated, supportive care our deeply experienced team provides every day. We don’t just teach; we partner with families to ensure no child is left behind.
With the right support, an aspirational environment, and a community that truly cares, a successful future is within reach for every single student here - whatever that path may look like for them.
