35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (actual working hours 7.10am to 2.50pm with 40-minute lunch break)

Plumstead Manor is a rapidly improving and thriving school of 1500 students in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with 300 students in the 6th form. We are committed to seeing all our students flourish and succeed as we want every door to be open to them in their future lives.

We are looking for a well-qualified and computer literate Cover Supervisor/Administrator to join our support staff team. You will supervise whole classes during the short term absence of the teacher, assisting students to undertake set activities, encouraging appropriate behaviour consistent with school standards and promoting a productive learning environment based on positive behaviour for learning. You will also be responsible for arranging emergency/on the day cover prior to the start of the school day.

To be successful, you will need to be qualified to Level 3 (A level or equivalent) and have level 2 qualifications in English and Maths. A higher or further education qualification is desirable. You will also need experience in managing young people, preferably in a school environment. A high level of computer literacy, including the use of spreadsheets and information management systems is essential.
