Job overview

Cover Teacher

Unqualified 1 - MPS 3

Wellfield School is seeking to appoint a talented and committed individual with the qualities, skills and drive necessary to fulfil the key role of Cover Teacher. We would welcome applications from teachers with experience of supply teaching who understand the challenges of teaching across the secondary curriculum and age range, with support from our experienced subject teams. This role is to provide on the day cover for teacher absence as well as planned absence which could be longer term.

There will be minimal planning needs day to day but the ability to deliver a meaningful lesson based on the unit plans for the subject and information about pupils is essential. There will also be less associated recording and reporting than would be expected of a subject specialist with a fixed timetable of regular classes and tutor group.

You will be at the forefront of making life changing differences to a group of young people who deserve the same high level of education as their peers.

If you want an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant school in a modern teaching environment that makes a difference to our young people’s lives– we want to hear from you.

Interested candidates who would like to arrange a visit can email Kelly Jobes (Headteacher's  PA) on k.jobes@wellfieldschool.net whereupon a mutually convenient date and time will be arranged.
