We are looking for a Creative Arts Technican. This is an exciting opportunity to join Coombe Wood School and become an integral member of the Design and Technology Team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in the Creative Arts Department with planning, preparation and resources across a range of subject specialisms including Food Technology, workshop based 3D Design and Art. 
  • Support staff with preparation and organisation of resources prior to lessons, during lessons and after lessons. This includes management and ordering of materials. 
  • Supporting the development of classroom environments in the Creative Arts Department
  • To manage the technical, administrative and resource provision across a range of subjects.
  • To support aspects of outdoor learning linked to the department curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities.

This fully inclusive secondary co-educational school was established in 2018 to meet an urgent rising local demand. 

The site of our new building and extensive grounds is opposite Lloyd Park in South Croydon, with an excellent Tramlink service to and from East Croydon station (just 5-minute journey-time away,) and a short walk from several bus routes.
