Job overview

Benenden School is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and inspirational Creative Technician with a strong commitment to working with young people in an educational setting.

As a Creative Technician you will support the Creative Arts department by providing essential technical support and assistance with practical lessons when required. You will work closely with teachers to support learning, working with small groups of students during lessons and extra curricula activities.

The department has an exceptional range of specialist facilities and keen and engaged students. From supporting our Year 7 student’s introduction to creative working, through to the ambitious and highly specialised work made by our A Level students, you will have the chance to build on your existing skills and work with a team in an environment that facilitates excellence.

A good degree in Digital Arts/3D Design or an Art and Design course is essential, along with previous experience of working on creative projects in a Design, Architecture, or Arts field. You will also be highly organised and able to manage your time effectively. Full training and support will be given to the right candidate.

The department is highly successful at both GCSE and A Level, and students are motivated and ready to learn.
