Job overview
We are looking for a cricket festival manager and top level cricket coach, who is confident, organised and enthusiastic.
From a managerial point of view, the candidate will need to be confident running a logistics team throughout the festivals as well as making assertive decisions. The role will require a high level of cricketing knowledge as well as the soft skills required to manage the festival team in the lead up to and during the festivals.
From a coaching point of view the candidate will be confident coaching and improving our players from grass roots level up to our top future professional cricketers. They will become an integral part of our cricket coaching team as well as offering additional support to other sports and the school when required. We are looking for someone who is excited about working here, who is willing to be part of an already hugely exciting and successful cricket department and who has the enthusiasm and vision to keep propelling the cricket festivals forward.
King’s is renowned as being one of the top schools for cricket, in the country. We have highly qualified coaches who cover a variety of sessions across both King’s Hall and King’s College, throughout the year.
We have a huge breadth of cricketers at King’s including a rapidly growing girls' section. Recent alumni include Jos Buttler, Tom Banton, Will Smeed, Eddie Byrom, Calvin Harrison and Nathan Gilchrist. Every year, we have successfully hosted the ‘West’ cricket festivals, for multiple junior county teams and academies. We have outstanding cricket facilities, both indoors and outdoors, that are used throughout term time and in the holidays.
