Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a full-time, year-round Curriculum Administrator to commence as soon as possible.  The Curriculum Administrator will provide support to the Deputy Head and Senior Systems Lead in all aspects of their work (and that of some of their direct reports).

You'll work with colleagues across the School's academic departments and, at times, with members of staff at partner schools in Abingdon. You will also work closely with the Pastoral/Operational Administrator to ensure that the academic programme and deadlines work with the wider school calendar, events and systems.

You will be a key point of communication, distributing information across department teams and holding those departments to account for hitting deadlines.

You will plan and arrange meetings, including preparing agendas, reports and minutes and ensuring the timely distribution of relevant papers. On occasions you will communicate with both students and their parents.

No two days will be the same, and you will need to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. Deadlines will often be demanding, the need for accuracy important and the range of requests will be stretching; you will enjoy efficient administrative processes (and seek to refine these), research/data preparation and communicating with people.

All staff share the responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the students, in accordance with the School’s safeguarding policies.

Closing date: Monday 30 January 2023 at 9.00am

Interview date: Week commencing 6 February 2023

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Founded on Christian values, we enable every girl to discover and develop her own strengths. St Helen & St Katharine is a school where success is celebrated but not revered and our goal is to ensure that every girl achieves success as she defines it, so that she can believe in herself, her talents and her abilities.

We are one of the leading girls’ schools in the country and are justifiably proud of a tradition of high aspiration and academic achievement (our students achieved record breaking GCSE results with 77% A* this year). But we take just as much pleasure in the warmth of the atmosphere here and in our dynamic range of extra-curricular activities. From Minecraft to Mandarin, Silversmithing to Sailing, Board Games to Big Band and much more besides, our girls are given the space and opportunity to make their own choices and find their niche.

A welcoming 22 acre campus in Abingdon provides exceptional facilities that include a brand new state-of-the-art Sports Centre; Performing Arts Centre; extended Sixth Form Centre; Science Centre with 12 new laboratories, break out spaces and a 200sqm science themed glass atrium and a 3D Design Centre.

This is a friendly and happy place in which lasting relationships are built on kindness and respect. Our ambitions for our students are based upon them developing confidence and resilience and an open-minded and creative approach to learning and to life.
