Bishop Rawstorne is an oversubscribed and outstanding 11-16 Church of England Academy based in Croston, Lancashire. Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy is based near Leyland in Lancashire. It is a growing school with an intake of 960 students representing the whole ability-range and has been providing high quality Christian education for over 60 years. It is this Christian message and ethos that underpins the core values that allow us to ensure that students are able to achieve a rounded academic, spiritual, moral, social and cultural education.

Curriculum and Pastoral Care

  • As part of the Blackburn Diocese we are engaged in partnership with parents, local schools, sixth-form colleges and other support agencies and stakeholders to provide the best possible educational experience for all.
  • The Pastoral System is organised in a Tutor Group system and students are exceptionally well cared for in an environment which is positive in its approach to young people.
  • A rich and varied extra-curricular programme complements and extends the whole-school curriculum.
