Situated in a purpose built building The Centre for Creative Industries, the Faculty predominantly delivers a range of art-based subjects from Fine Art, Graphics, Photography to Fashion and Textiles, these including UAL Level 2 Diploma, A Levels, UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma, UAL Foundation Diploma and Access to HE. The faculty actively listens to its learners, and we have very positive learner feedback. You will lead on areas of the curriculum and manage your team within the faculty including the well-established UAL Extended Diploma team.
We are seeking a forward-thinking and highly motivated leader and lecturer to teach within the arts across our programmes, lead curriculum development, market and promote courses. You will be joining a highly functioning and experience team who work cohesively to plan and deliver our growing Extended Diploma provision. As a subject specialist you will be able to teach a relevant art and design subject with a particular vocational focus. You will lead your area to go beyond Outstanding, in the college’s vision to be exceptional. Please note that due to sustained growth we have a number of Programme leader roles advertised and you do not need to apply for these separately.
You will join an expanding and experienced Faculty Management Group (FMG) that is extremely supportive and committed to working collaboratively and sharing best practice in an outstanding Faculty. The FMG currently comprises the Head and Deputy Head of Faculty, 2 other Curriculum Area Managers and a Tutorial Area Manager, supported by the Faculty Operations Officer. This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner with a proven track record of outstanding teaching, a passion for the arts, the talent to lead a Curriculum Area and a desire to develop your career.
