The Ela Murray International School is a Prep to Grade 8 School in PNG’s capital city. Current enrolment is 550 students. It caters primarily for the large expatriate community and our student body is made up of over 30 nationalities. The school has excellent resources and a staff of dedicated and skilled teachers from several countries.

At this time, applications are invited from experienced and qualified educators for a Curriculum Coordinator vacancy at TEMIS. The position is expected to commence as soon as possible. 

Main responsibilities:

• to articulate, map, and develop the school curriculum

• coordinate the development of appropriate practices and resources to address how students are catered for in each grade 

• work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team, to improve teaching and learning 

Education and work experience requirements:

• Hold a valid teaching license

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Education (preferred)

• Currently employed as an elementary school Curriculum Coordinator

• Have five (5) years of successful teaching experience in an elementary school / middle school

• Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate people

• Demonstrate an understanding of current trends in education 

• Demonstrate exemplary teaching practice

About The Ela Murray International School

The Ela Murray International School (TEMIS) is a non-profit, private, co-educational day school. The governance of the school rests with a Board composed of parents and professional staff.

The student body ranges from 18 months in our Early Learning Centre to Grade 8. Our staff and students come from many countries which contributes to the international flavor of the school.
