Tes is supporting the appointment of a highly effective and inspiring Curriculum Lead for Maths at a school based in Swindon.

This is an exciting opportunity is to support the Faculty lead - STEM to develop the Maths curriculum.

You will have the vision to lead teaching and learning to the next level. You will motivate students, engage parents and raise student’s aspiration in order to provide them with best opportunities and outcomes.

You will become part of a dynamic and supportive staff team. The school has transformed its curriculum with an emphasis on high expectations in the classroom, alongside strong pastoral support and intervention for its students. You will be responsible for a small tutor group, a key and important part of working for the school. Candidates with a strong pastoral background and experience, may be also be offered the opportunity to become a year leader. 

To be successful you will: 

  • A passion for teaching and learning, understanding the needs of vulnerable young people with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
  • A sound knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice in regards to your teaching and delivery.
  • Show commitment to a culture of continuous improvement that promotes excellence for staff and students alike.
  • Have the personal and professional qualities that fit to the vision and values of the school.
