If appointed as Curriculum Leader - Starting salary £39,723 with incremental progression to £41,091 per annum.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, enthusiastic and skilled teacher with a proven track record of academic success and achievement to teach Engineering at Pendleton Sixth Form College. For an exceptional candidate, there will be the opportunity to be appointed as Curriculum Leader of Engineering.

The successful applicant must possess the ability to teach students of mixed abilities, many of whom choose to pursue this subject at university. We are seeking someone with excellent subject knowledge who can demonstrate an ability to combine academic rigour with excellent student achievement The successful candidate will also have a history of successful teaching of Physics and Mathematics at Level 3, and a selection of general Engineering topics, for example CAD, welding, fabrication, manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, electronics, project management, programming, or any other relevant field.

As a Curriculum Leader you will be an inspirational teacher who promotes the highest levels of achievement for all students. Expertise in the successful organisation and planning of vocational Engineering is essential for this post. Using your enthusiasm and expertise you will work closely with the Head of Department and your team; leading, developing and monitoring the curriculum to maximise the achievement of all students. The role will also encompass thorough quality control including leading team meetings, internal verification and inputting grades onto the exam board online system.
