Tes is supporting the appointment of a Curriculum Leader for Design Technology at a school based in Surrey.

Following the internal promotion of their existing post holder they are looking to appoint a passionate and experienced teacher who is keen to take the next steps in their career. You will lead the Technology Department to build upon their existing success and ensure that their track record for good results at GCSE can be secured for future cohorts of their students. 

The DT and Food department have had ongoing investment and benefits from a stable and experienced staff, including a full-time technician. The curriculum has been designed with skills and knowledge at the forefront and students are enthusiastic about what they learn. Curriculum evolution is part of the ethos and developing schemes of work, projects and assessment and feedback is a collaborative process. The school have a laser cutter, 3D printer, traditional machinery and hand tools, which allow students a full range of access to the wide aspects of learning within the subject areas.

The school is situated to the West of London with good rail and road access. Their location means their staff enjoy living in areas such as West and South West London, Surrey and Berkshire making fantastic choices for city, suburban or rural living available.
