We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, talented and ambitious English Curriculum Leader who is enthusiastic for English, has strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching and learning.  

Colton Hills Community School is a highly regarded 11-18 community school judged by OFSTED to be a ‘GOOD’ school in 2015 and 2018.  The school encompasses a rich and harmonious multicultural community and is committed to the development of all students with the majority staying on in the sixth form.

The English department has a vision for all students to become independent and successful learners who are able to engage with a variety of different texts. Our students enjoy learning through a wide variety of approaches and are now being supported through the new Life after Levels agenda that develops the core skills required to be successful across Key Stage 3 which then supports them for examination study in Key Stage 4 and beyond. 

English is supported through whole school literacy approaches which are supported by the Senior Leadership Team and Middle Leaders.
