Required 1 January 2018 at St Mary's Catholic High School, Leyland, Royal Avenue, Leyland, Lancashire, PR25 1BS (600 on roll)  The governors of this very good, ambitious and still developing Catholic school wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher who is capable of leading our Modern Foreign Languages department.

We are seeking candidates of the highest calibre to lead a team comprising 3 teachers. Languages currently taught at St Mary's are Spanish and French. The person appointed should have a proven track record at GCSE level and significant experience teaching

a) French and Spanish or 

b) French or German and Spanish

Candidates with other language specialties will be considered. If you are interested in developing professionally and can validate relevant experience this post offers a great opportunity to work in a school with an exciting future and where there is a great appetite for learning among the pupils.

St Mary's was judged to be a Good school by both Ofsted and Liverpool Archdiocese in June 2016. The school has made rapid and sustained progress since then and candidates are advised to visit the school to appreciate what that means in terms of climate, pupil conduct and our ambition.
