Curriculum Leader for Music

Acland Burghley SchoolCamden

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom teacher who is able to evidence the impact that they have made over time. (S)he will have a strong track record of leading extra-curricular activities and a genuine commitment to inclusive practice. As well as working alongside the OAE, the postholder will establish a strong working partnership with Camden Music Service, ensuring that our Music department becomes an exciting, prestigious place where students thrive.

Music is a popular choice at GCSE in Year 11, as is BTEC Performing Arts in the sixth form. The postholder will manage two other full time Music teachers, and a large team of peripatetic teachers. This is a new, additional post, reflecting our ambition to grow our Music provision. In September 2021, the department will have additional non-contact time to enable rapid development of the OAE partnership and extra-curricular activities. Like all middle leaders in the school, the postholder will enjoy high levels of senior leadership support.
