Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader for Spanish to cover a maternity leave in a successful and thriving department. This must be an outstanding and experienced classroom practitioner with leadership aspirations and seeking to grow professionally in this role.

Applicants must have a demonstrable enthusiasm for language teaching and must be able to show that their commitment can contribute to the innovation of pedagogy in this flourishing Modern Foreign Language department. The study of language is compulsory for all students up to GCSE and many students opt for Language at A Level. Many students study two languages at Key Stage 3.

The Modern Foreign Language team is innovative team of consistently outstanding teachers.

The successful candidate must have exceptional curriculum knowledge not only of the language (which must be fluent) but also of the subject topics, content and assessment at all Key Stages. up to A-Level. To be able to teach French at Key Stage 3 would be an advantage.
