We are looking to appoint a Curriculum Leader to join our Academic Leader and Assistant Academic Leader in the management of our highly motivated and hard-working team of English teachers. You should be an outstanding classroom practitioner and have students at the heart of your decision making.
Our team has been on an exciting journey over the past three years, with English language results increasing to 83% A*-C last year. 84% of our students made ‘expected levels of progress’ in English language and 55% exceeded ‘expected levels of progress’. Similarly, our English literature results also increased to 84% A*-C. 90% of our students made ‘expected levels of progress’ and 69% exceeded ‘expected levels of progress’.
We are looking for a Curriculum Leader to help manage the development of the curriculum in line with the new GCSE specification. You will have responsibilities for the organisation and resourcing of our 5 year curriculum map and will play an integral part in the delivery of curriculum interventions for both KS3 and KS4. You will also have responsibilities for the organisation of the ‘Gifted and Talented’ provision in English and oversight of the Enrichment opportunities we offer.
