Job overview

The successful candidate will have relevant experience as a classroom teacher and be able to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in the classroom. You are required to have a highly developed understanding of learning and teaching pedagogies and must be able to demonstrate a commitment to professional learning and continuous development. A sound knowledge of current national developments will be required.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to create, motivate and work effectively within a team and organise workload to meet tight time-scales. Good management, liaison, communication, presentational skills and a commitment to maximising pupil progress are essential to this post.

The post-holder will take a joint lead with our newly appointed Maths Curriculum Leader on whole school improvement for STEM and Numeracy.

  • The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and a commitment to team working.
  • A commitment to inclusion and comprehensive education with a focus on continuous improvement in the quality of the education provided for all young people in Gracemount High School.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, flexibility, optimism and a commitment to the highest standards.
  • Relevant experience subject area.
