Curriculum Leader of Music


We are working with a school who have a fantastic opportunity for a Curriculum Leader of Music to join their friendly and dedicated music department.  Music and the arts is highly valued in the academy, all students study dance, drama, music and art throughout key stage 3 and all students are encouraged to choose a creative subject as one of their options. As Curriculum leader for music you will work within the expressive arts faculty, and use your passion and expertise for music to create and exciting curriculum and extra-curricular programme, as well as working with other leaders within the faculty to develop “world class” arts education across the academy. 


Our excellent facilities include purpose built, air-conditioned classrooms equipped with keyboards, guitars and classroom percussion, we also have a suite of Mac Workstations for our exam groups, a number of rehearsal rooms and a studio.   Music is a growing subject at GCSE we are keen to build the uptake further and extend the curriculum offer into key stage 5.  All students are currently taught in specialist rooms with access to the full range of equipment.

The successful candidate will


Successful middle leadership experience

Experience of teaching Music across the age range, including GCSE and A Level.

Have knowledge of and the ability to implement strategies for raising standards in Secondary Education
