Oasis Academy Leesbrook is seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Curriculum Leader of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop in an Academy that has been open for just one academic year, and is a part of the Oasis family. The Academy is currently based in temporary accommodation (a state of the art, purpose built property on Middleton Road, Oldham) and will move to our permanent home in September 2020, be located just off Lees Road, Oldham. We have just less than 400 children on roll, from Year 7 - Year 9. We will gain a new year group every September, to be serving all 5 year groups by September 2021.
The Curriculum Leader for Science will work with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and our growing team of staff to ensure excellence across the Academy. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, flexible and committed to ensuring that our Academy provides the very best opportunities for every single student. This role is essential in the development of the Academy as it grows in size, year on year, to ultimately educate 1500 students.

This is an ideal opportunity for somebody keen to embark on their first middle leadership or Curriculum Leader role. Equally, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who wishes to be part of shaping a department from the very early stages and embarking on the exciting journey of building a department and Academy from the very foundations.
We are therefore looking for an outstanding, flexible practitioner with drive and commitment and an unrelenting focus on the progress of all of the students in the Academy. We require a teacher and leader with passion for their subject and a keenness to support and develop excellent teachers. We are also seeking a candidate who is keen to offer the best opportunities for students to experience both in and out of school.
