Due to the promotion of our current post holder, the School now seeks to appoint an exceptional scientist, teacher and leader to the post of Curriculum Leader of Science. Working with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful applicant will shape the strategic direction of the Science curriculum to ensure excellent outcomes and co-curricular provision.
The School welcomes applicants from any science-based specialism. The successful candidate will lead an established team, contributing fully to maintaining excellence by inspiring and motivating both staff and students.
The successful candidate will possess:
• The confidence and ability to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics at all levels
• The professional characteristics to be an excellent role model and classroom practitioner, who is prepared to be innovative in their own teaching
• The experience to manage an extremely able team, or the ability to develop coaching, mentoring and leadership skills with our support
• A clear understanding of the current curriculum, assessment and pedagogical developments relating to Science at all Key Stages
