About Westminster Kingsway College:

Westminster Kingsway College is a further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. It offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses for 16-18 year olds and adult learners, such as A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees, Access to Higher Education, employability training and short courses. It also offers bespoke training for employers and specialist programmes delivered in conjunction with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

Westminster Kingsway is an award-winning provider of hospitality and culinary arts courses. For over a century it has been at the forefront of culinary arts education in the UK, providing UK restaurants with highly skilled chefs, front-of-house staff and management. About the role:

We are seeking a suitably qualified and skilled Curriculum Manager to contribute to the development, planning and implementation of new curriculum, learning and teaching initiatives both within the school and for a designated group of services. You will be responsible for providing curriculum and subject leadership to the course team and will assist with the coordination of lectures and support staff who contribute to the work of the courses.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to act flexibly in order to adapt to a frequently changing work environment and priorities. You will be an enthusiastic, inspiring and inclusive manager, with demonstrable experience of leading and motivating teams. Demonstrating an aptitude and track record of driving continuous performance improvement, you will be a strong communicator with extensive experience in specialism.

The ideal candidate will possess all or most of the following:

  • Substantial teaching experience, some of which should be in Further Education
  • Experience of leading a team/tutoring experience
  • Curriculum leadership/coordination experience
  • Up to date knowledge of the relevant subject area
  • Good pedagogic practice
  • Relevant assessors’ awards or a willingness to work towards these
  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults
