Curriculum Manager (English and Maths)

We are expanding our English and maths support and are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced manager to lead and inspire the cross college English and maths delivery team to provide excellent teaching and learning and an outstanding experience for learners. The success of learners and the drive for continual improvement will be your key driver.    

You will be part of the School of English, Maths and Academic Studies reporting directly to the Head of School; however the role is to manage English and maths provision (excluding A level) for all on campus students across college as an integral part of the Programme of Study.  

You will specifically manage English and maths within the Schools of learning for Creative Industries and Technology and Care and Education Studies.  In addition you will be college lead for GCSE English.    

You will be accountable for the success of English and maths delivery service team.  This success will be measured through high success rates, high quality teaching and learning, student satisfaction surveys and working with individuals to work towards achievement of English and maths to support individuals’ progression plans. 

You will be responsible for carrying out observations with your team in line with the Teaching, Learning and Assessment observation policy, staff appraisals and development.  

The role will require you to take on and work to the college’s values; working with Professionalism, taking Responsibility for your actions, and giving Respect to clients and colleagues alike.    

This post has a teaching commitment of 209 hours per year within English.
