Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m. The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients. We are looking for an experienced manager (of at least 3 years) with knowledge and experience of provision for Health and Social Care, Science and Early years
The curriculum areas include: provision for 16-18 year olds and adults including community delivery in the following areas. Health and Social Care, Adult Care, Science, and Early years (childcare).
You will be an inspirational leader and effective day to day manager of a team of curriculum leaders, teachers and support staff. You will have specific experience of operational management of at least one of the curriculum areas. You will be an outstanding, learner –centred teacher, able to develop the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. There is a teaching requirement to the role of up to 10 hours per week and you may need to provide cover. You will be an excellent communicator with students, colleagues and other stakeholders. A significant part of this role is effective liaison with including local authorities, schools and parents.
