You will be joining a friendly and professional College that is wholly committed to securing the best academic and personal development outcomes for all of our learners. Reporting to the Head of School for Construction, this key role within the College has responsibility for the co-ordination and day to day management and development of team members and to raise student achievements, follow rigorous quality assurance procedures, foster a team ethos and increase learner participation.

You will support the Head of School and other college managers to ensure outstanding standards of provision through the planning, review, development, design and implementation the curriculum. With a significant and expanding Plumbing Apprenticeship and classroom based provision you will further develop a significant key strategic area of the College. This role will have a teaching responsibility in Plumbing so it is essential that you have at least Level 3 Plumbing qualifications with extensive experience in the sector. Within the Building Services area you will also have responsibility for Electrical Installation courses and Apprentices so a working knowledge of these areas is desirable.

Recent industry experience and a sound knowledge of the Construction sector is essential and operating as the lead internal verifier in Plumbing, the ability to lead quality improvement strategies designed to secure excellent success and progression rates for the learners in your area.

You should have at least a Level 3 Plumbing qualification, an assessors and internal verifiers qualifications and possess or be actively studying for a teaching qualification or equivalent at minimum, with a proven track record of improving the learner experience and the ability to make accurate judgment’s relating to the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
