Job overview
Reporting to an Area Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing successful delivery of the planned curriculum and all contract requirements at HMP Guys Marsh. This will involve the utilisation and management of a team of teaching and administrative staff, ensuring the continued development of the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and successfully maintaining a range of partnerships within a custodial setting.
Candidates must have relevant experience within offender learning and/or successful experience of managing a team of education staff as well as a teaching qualification.

Our history - past to present
Weston College has served the education and training needs of its local community for more than 100 years. It has its origins in private drawing and painting classes provided by Henry Stacy in Oriel Terrace in 1859.
The School of Art was opened on 7 February 1865 under the auspices of the Government's Department of Science and Art, and with the aid of £40 collected from local residents. In its first year of existence the Principal was the only teacher and approximately 80 students attended the six classes held weekly.
Since 1 April 1993, the College has been an autonomous public body. It is funded directly by central government via the Learning & Skills Council (LSC).
