Job overview
An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Curriculum Manager for our Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering curriculum area that encompasses Industrial Automation Mechanical Engineering and Fabrication and Welding The successful applicant will have a teaching commitment with Industrial Automation, therefore knowledge and skills with PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics will be required.
The successful applicant should possess a minimum of an HNC in Engineering or Manufacturing or related area along with an understanding of mechanical and manufacturing workshop practices. Ideally they should also possess qualified teacher status, have management experience in education or industry as well as having considerable experience within the Engineering sector. An in-depth knowledge of the Further Education Sector is desirable.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills as they will be required to manage and lead a team of lecturers and assessors in an expanding area, reporting to the Head of School.
