As a not-for-profit organisation, we devote our resources to delivering high-quality educational programmes that can unlock learners’ potential.

An increasingly important part of our activity involves working with ministries and other agencies on major education reform projects, for example designing and developing curriculum, assessment and professional development products for their specific needs.

Curriculum Programmes Manager (Arabic)

The Role

This vacancy is within the Curriculum Programmes team. We work with groups of schools and national bodies in a range of countries aiming to improve their education systems as part of education reform projects. We are also responsible for the development of our Primary and Lower Secondary curricula and the related supporting materials and documentation. This wide-ranging work includes developing curricula, support materials for teachers, training for teachers and other bespoke solutions to meet specific needs.

You will coordinate the development and review of curricula and support materials across the 4-18 age range as well as, from time to time, other developments as required.

You will source the appropriate consultants for this work, ensuring they are fully briefed and complete the work to a high standard. Further, you will develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as colleagues in other areas of our project work or representatives of our customers. You will also lead on complex projects where you will be required to manage several team members working on a range of subjects, whilst meeting tight deadlines to high quality standards.

What we are looking for

You will be educated at least to degree level (or equivalent) and are fluent in reading, writing and speaking Arabic.  You will have experience of working in the education sector and bring excellent knowledge and understanding to the developments you will manage in this role. A background in curriculum and/or support material development would be preferable. You will have a good understanding of one or more science subjects and how they are taught to different age groups internationally.

In addition, you should have previous experience of identifying and managing teams of consultants. The confidence and ability to run your own projects is essential as you will also be required to co-ordinate the work of others in the team across a range of subjects.

Your degree should be in a science subject and/or you should have teaching experience in science at either primary or secondary level. A further degree in social science or education would be desirable.
