Job overview

The pupils, staff and governors of Southfield Primary School are looking for a talented and dedicated subject coordinator to join our team. We are keen to find a teacher with an interest in developing their leadership through the coordination of a key subject from across the curriculum.

Southfield Primary School is an exciting place to work and we are committed to developing our staff at all levels. Previous leadership responsibility is not essential, but a proven track record of high quality teaching and a commitment to your own learning and development is. If you are passionate about improving the life chances of all children and are able to inspire and motivate others to do the same, then we would love to have you as part of our team.

We can offer you:

  • polite, enthusiastic children, who are desperate to learn;
  • a friendly, supportive staff team, who are driven to achieve the best for our children;
  • a supportive leadership team who want to bring out the best in their staff;
  • excellent professional development opportunities within the West Area Partnership, and the Teaching School Alliance;
  • an opportunity to be part of an exciting and creative curriculum.

You will be:

  • passionate about teaching and learning;
  • a positive role model and team player, who can support and motivate others through outstanding practice;
  • someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, and high expectations of themselves and others;
  • a reflective practitioner who is keen to learn and develop as a leader.

Visits to our school are warmly welcomed. If you would like to arrange a visit, or would like an opportunity to discuss this role informally, then please contact the head teacher, Sarah Pollard, on 01582 604876

Applications are through our vacancies page:
